		<description>I think the answer is 3. I say "think" because I'm a freshman chemistry student myself and was googling the phrase "molybdenum(III) phosphate" looking for help on a similar question when I came across your question.

Here's why I think it's three:
The formula for the compound is Mo(PO4) because it's Mo (III) and the charge of phosphate is a negative 3, so you don't have to worry about any subscripts.
Which means that there is 1 atom of Mo in one formula, so in three formulas of it..there will be three.

Also:
I had the question "How many oxygen atoms are present in six formulas of the compond molybdenum(III) phosphate?" and the correct answer to that is 24, which makes sense using the method I explained above.
